TOP SHAFT:

Purchasing this 'Top Shaft' will save you having to take your top shaft to a machine shop to have your top shaft modified.   

For further information on the top shaft please watch the 2x videos in this listing. 

If you are using a TZ1A or TZ1B transmission, you can use the top shaft from your transmission. However, the top shaft from your transmission will need to be machined / modified as per the Reversaru instructions (see the second video in this listing).

OR- 

If you do not have the means to have your top shaft machined / modified to suit the Reversaru kit, you could purchase the 'Top shaft' in this listing which is already manufactured to the correct specifications! 

If you are using a TV1B transmission you cannot use the top shaft from your transmission, so you have a choice of;

a) sourcing a top shaft from a TZ1A or TZ1B transmission and have it machined to the specifications (see last video in this listing to see how the top shaft must be modified)

OR

b) you could purchase the 'Top Shaft' in this listing which is already manufactured to the correct specifications. 

NOTE: If you purchase the Top Shaft in this listing you will need to use the 2x seals from the top shaft in your transmission and install them into the 2x grooves in the Top Shaft in this listing prior to installing the Top Shaft into the transmission.

Some shafts that are in stock are new manufactured and some are genuine Subaru shafts that have been machined to the correct specifications. 

BEARING FOR TOP SHAFT: 

If you are using a TZ1A or TZ1B transmission you will be able to reuse the bearing from the top shaft of your transmission (part number 6010). 

If you are using the TV1B transmission you will need to purchase a deep groove roller bearing (part number 6010) as you cannot reuse the standard bearing on the Top Shaft of a TV1B transmission.
